We hope the Festive Season found you well. As the new year unfolds many students look to revitalise their training routines and renew their commitment to their physical health and wellbeing. There is no time like the present to get back into training and to renew old acquaintences or make new friends.

The new year will see all our familiar programs in place. Our teachings will be further complimented by the growing number of Red Sash students who continue to enhance and contribute to our skill base - thank you one and all.

The most exciting news for some time is that Instructor Andrew Withford, a great colleague and mentor to our small club, is moving to Darwin with his family. Instructor Andrew's skills in Wing Chun is highly respected throughout Australia and Hong Kong. Instructor Andrew said that he is "really looking forwarded to settling into some serious training while in Darwin and will continue to support his students on the Sunshine Coast". Welcome Instructor Andrew.

Successful Grass Roots Grant Application

We have been successful in our second grant application for Grass Roots funding. Last time Instructor Grant applied for and won the funding to develop this website. This round of funding will go towards upgrading our floor. We are in the process of turning the carpeted floor into a polished timber one. The Bamboo flooring will greatly improve the look, hygeine and the aility for beginners to learn how to pivot correctly. Our thanks to the NT Government for supporting grass roots, community organisations such as ours.

Sunshine Coast Seminar

A short time ago the Sunshine Coast Wing Chun Association Inc. hosted a Master Class with our Si Bak, Frederick Mo. Si bak Mo was one of Sigung's earliest students and has been training constantly for more than 50 years under his Sifu Tsui Sheung Tin. Si Bak Mo resides in New Zealand and his teachings were greatly appreciated by the delegates, many who travelled great distances to be part of the seminars. We were represented by Instructor Michael.
