Your First Wing Chun Class

Your first Wing Chun class is designed to be welcoming, informative, and pressure-free. You do not need to be fit, flexible, or experienced to attend.

Classes typically begin with a warm-up and basic movements to help you become familiar with Wing Chun posture and structure. You will be introduced to simple techniques and drills that focus on balance, relaxation, and correct movement. There is no expectation to memorise everything—learning happens gradually over time.

New students are guided closely by the instructor, and exercises are adapted so you can work comfortably and safely. You are encouraged to ask questions and take breaks when needed. Training is conducted in a respectful and supportive atmosphere.

For your first class, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely is all you need. No special equipment is required. Most importantly, bring an open mind and a willingness to learn.

Many people feel more confident and at ease after just a few classes. Trying a class is the best way to see whether Wing Chun is right for you.
